10/31: Student Volunteers Needed for the 2014 Spirit Gala! All students in Grades 8 -12 are invited to volunteer at Mercy Spirit Gala and Family Fun Night. There are shifts on Friday, November 21st from 5:30 – 10:00 PM and Student Server Shifts on Saturday, November 22nd from 4:30 – 10:30 PM Be sure to check your student email account to find a link to SignUpGenius where you can register to volunteer. If you do not have access to a computer, smartphone or tablet you can visit the media center and use the computers there. The deadline to sign up is Friday, November 7th. Spend the weekend with your friends! Dinner and refreshments will be served. Raffle prizes for volunteers! Visit the Gala Office with any questions.

10/30: Congratulations to the Master Minds team for its performance at our first competition of the year. The Varsity won both matches, defeating Greece Olympia 190-40 and Greece Athena 270-30. Leading scorers were Sarah Christner and Andrea Machamer. The JV won one match out of two. Leading scorers were Sarah Neubecker, Megan Green, Kim Morsheimer, and Violet Dong.

10/30: Mercy varisty soccer won the semi-finals game last night 3-2 against Greece Athena! Anna Doerr scored the first Mercy goal, followed by Emily Wade in overtime, then Amanda Mietus with the winning goal in sudden death! Mercy, seed 2, takes on Pittsford Mendon, seed 1, this Saturday in the championship at 2:30 at a location TBD. Please come & support Mercy!!

Would you like to dress as a Zombie? This is a fun Halloween volunteer activity to benefit the Special Olympics. It's at the Rochester Public Market tomorrow night. See Mrs. Randazzese for more details.
10/28: Mercy Crew raced at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia and all boats did an outstanding job! The Novice Four finished 5th. The Varsity Four finished 12th out of 49 boats. The Varsity Eight finished 21st out of 45 boats, the Varsity B Four finished 16 out of 37 boats. The Novice Eight and Varsity Double also showed terrific skill. We hope everyone will join Mercy Crew for its final race of the season this Sunday at the Pull the Plug Regatta on the Erie Canal in Pittsford.

10/29: This Saturday morning, Passport is going to volunteer at Saint’s Place, a refugee relocation ministry based out of St. Louis Church in Pittsford, St. John of Rochester Church and the Catholic Family Center. Tomorrow evening Passport is going to bake cookies at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. We will also have a brief tour and education on end-of-life care.
