Congratulations to the Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women Libary/Media Center for being awarded the 2017 School Library of the Year by the the Rochester Regional Library Council! The Council is a multi-type library network serving libraries and library systems in the five-county Rochester region – Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.

According to the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, “The school library offers learning services, books and resources that enable all members of the school community to become critical thinkers and effective users of information in all formats and media.” Mercy’s Library/Media Center does all that, and more! Mercy’s Library/Media Center, which is open every day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., is staffed by two certified teachers who work with our students to continually reach their goals.
