A critical component of student achievement is her teacher. We believe that intensive, targeted, and sustained professional development of teachers is essential. Our Lady of Mercy's Board of Trustees and our administrators support our faculty and teacher teams in developing their professional competencies. We have created the atmosphere of reflective practice in our school, where we use our internal structures such as department meetings, faculty meetings, full-day professional development days, and summer work sessions to create action plans to achieve growth in our academic program to benefit our students.
