Daughter of Eleanor Hackett Porter (44) and sister of Mary Lou Porter Saxon (72). A quick note about my Dad, Ross Porter, who passed away in September 2004 and worked for the Bombay Company until a few months before his death. Every year, the Bombay Company issues a teddy bear at the holidays, and a portion of the sales from this bear benefit the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. For 2005, the bear is name "Porter" in honor of my Dad. So, if you see this little bear in the store, think of Ross Porter and smile. (09/05)

When my husband James accepted a promotion with Alcoa in April, our company found me a new position as well and we moved in May to begin our new assignments in Lafayette, Indiana.
I'm a Quality Systems person and Lead Quality Auditor after 23 years in Public Relations and Environmental Chemistry. And, James is the Metallurgy and Quality Systems Supervisor, now in his 17th year with Alcoa.
After 30 years in very rural upstate NY, this place is busy - not to mention much warmer (90 - 100 all summer) than the north side of the Adirondacks where we made our home until recently.
Our three kids (Laura, 30; Adam, 27 and Mike, 24) are all making their way in the world. Daughter Laura has blessed us with two grandsons (so far) - Joshua is 2 and Mathieu is 1.
My mom and siblings still call Rochester home, so we visit at least twice a year.
Think about Mercy often and with gratitude for the great foundation and wonderful memories, especially when we sing "Let There Be Peace On Earth!" at Church - remember singing that at graduation? Hope God has blessed you all as generously as He has us. (09/05)
