Our family will be traveling to Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) in December to visit my husband's family. This will be mine and our children's first visit and my husbands first time back in 16 years. Our children (Taylor, 10 and Ashton 6) are really excited and curious to know where there Dad is from. We have been living in Northern California for 8 years and love it. I still have family in Rochester and occasionally visit. (11/06)

I had a fabulous time at our 20th reunion last year. Everyone looked the same! I am married to a minister, Rev. Arthur Dilbert. I am an Assistant Principal at East High School in Rochester. I have two children Samiah (6) and Arthur III (4). Both my sisters Beverly (class of 85) and Matasha (class of 94) are also married. Matasha relocated to Chicago. (10/05)

My husband Terry and I will be celebrating our 17th anniversary in August of 2005. We have three kids- Liz is 14, Katy is 12, and Robert is 10. I went back to teaching-I substitute in grades 9-12 at the same school where my husband teaches, coaches varsity basketball and football, and is the athletic director. All three kids also play basketball, so we spend a lot of time in the gym. Hope everyone from '84 is well. (02/05)

Dear classmates,
I can’t believe it has been 19 years since we left Mercy...
I wish I had been more active and gotten to know more of you. High school was basically a fog for me. Just now I feel like I have really become my own person.
I have two beautiful kids Sarah (6) and Ryan (2), a great job at Pfizer, a nice home in a neighborhood full of kids, and wonderful husband Chris who still puts up with me after all these years .We are going on 10 years this year.
I still sing – If they ever have American Idol “30-something” -- I’d jump at the chance. I am a Karaoke Junkie and still have all my own professional Karaoke stuff. (I used to be a Karaoke DJ in Rochester before I got married).
Chris and I have had our share of heartbreak…
Chris' Son Michael who lived with us, died of a Heroin overdose at 18. That was the worst thing we have had to go though and deal with. He was 11 when I met him and 14 when we got married, He was our Best Man. He was such a great person and we still miss him a lot. Its been 5 years since he died.
Then our daughter Sarah was diagnosed with Diabetes shortly before her 4th Birthday. So that has been a struggle. She cries once in a while because she just wants to be normal. She just went on the insulin pump and started kindergarten this fall. The Pump is a wonderful thing!
All of these things have made me stronger but it is still hard sometimes.
Connecticut is great --Chris' family is all nearby in Enfield, CT and we see them all the time.
Its beautiful here, I live the next exit after Mystic. There is so much to do - Newport is less than an hour. We are right in between Hartford & Providence. Foxwoods is just 20 minutes from my house. The beach is only 10 minutes away. It's nice because everyone likes to come down and vacation at my house.
I do get back to Rochester at least 4 times a year. I want my kids to know their cousins and my family.
I would love to hear from fellow classmates --especially anyone in the area. (02/04)
