  • Congratulations to the Mercy Ski team on finishing 7th in sectional finals yesterday.

  • Congratulations to the Mercy bowling team on a strong showing at sectional finals, where they finished 7th yesterday.

  • Congratulations to the Varsity and JV basketball teams on the wins over Aquinas last night.  The Varsity team wrapped up the regular season by securing the #1 seed in the class double A sectional tournament, which will begin next week.

  • This is a last call for any middle 7th or 8th grade spring sport athlete interested in trying out for a JV or modified sport this spring -- all APP paperwork is due to Mr. Yandek by tomorrow.  After tomorrow, paper work cannot be accepted, and you will not be eligible for JV or Varsity participation.  Please see Mr. Yandek today with any questions.

  • The Mercy Alpine Ski Team competed in Sectionals this week and Olivia Gilbert was named to the Section V State Championship Team!  Olivia will be competing in States and representing Mercy at the end of February.  Congratulations, Olivia!

  • The Mercy Alpine Ski Team ended their season yesterday with an impressive series of races at Bristol Mountain.  The GS Race resulted in Mercy’s top five being Olivia Gilbert in first, Mary Cahn-Hildago in second, closely followed by Mia Carlson in third and Claire Wildman in fourth, with sophomore Emily Davis skiing a flawless run sealing fifth.  The afternoon’s Slalom Race took place in a blinding whiteout, however each of our skiiers powered through and hit every gate.  What a great end to a great season.  Congratulations to the entire sectional team for an outstanding showing yesterday.

  • Congratulations to 6th grader Sophia Daeschner for a great showing at her gymnastics meet this past weekend.  Sophia placed second overall in the competition. She was the champion on bars and earned second place on vault.    Nice job, Sophia!

  • Tomorrow, in honor of Valentine’s Day, you may choose to wear a pink or red top with uniform bottoms. This is a 50 cent dress down and all funds will go towards the Mercy Red Cross Club.  Again, tomorrow you can choose to pay 50 cents to wear a pink or red top with uniform bottoms for Valentine’s Day and to help out the Red Cross.
  • All students in Youth and Government come to room 107  before the end of the day to discuss rooming assignments.

  • Congratulations to the varsity basketball team for the win over Bishop Kearney on Friday night.  The Monarchs won by a score of 70-61, with Katie Titus finishing with 20 points, and Ruth Koang with 18.  The Monarchs next game is this Wednesday at home against Aquinas.  The game will also be the senior recognition.  The jv game tips off at 5pm, and the varsity will follow at 6:45.
  • Attention all middle school students interested in trying out for JV or Varsity sports this spring.  APP forms are due to Mr. Yandek by this Friday morning. If you need copies of the paperwork or have any questions, please stop by the athletics office.

  • This is a reminder that Spring sports start soon.  All health forms for JV and Varsity spring sports can be brought down to the nurse.  Forms are due Tuesday, February 28th.
  • This weekend sophomore Meredith McGee broke the Track and Field school record in the Weight Throw at their meet at RIT Saturday with a distance of 37 feet 3 inches.  The previous record of 36 feet 10 inches was held by Maddie Pizzo.  Make sure to come out and support the indoor team at their sectional championships at RIT Thursday night.
