The Mercy Art Department is a place where students can learn to develop an appreciation for the world of art as well as experiment with a variety of media and techniques, all while in the pursuit of unleashing creativity through self-expression.

The Department is comprised of three full time teachers and three classrooms as well as a pottery studio and digital photo lab. There are facilities located in the high school and middle school.

Student artwork is featured In our brand new gallery, on the walls in the main hallway by the high school art room, at our annual daylong schoolwide Artsfest which is a celebration of all the Arts, on school programs, in our literary publication the Mercedes, in the yearbook Veritas, on the annual Senior Murals that are displayed throughout the school building, on publications, in contests and in the wider local community.  Our student talent can also be seen on pieces created to help get the word out about our wonderful school!
