Alumnae Reunion 2021

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, nearly 200 alumnae safely gathered at Mercy’s campus to celebrate their class Reunions. With the pandemic delaying Reunion for class years ending in 0 and 5, we were so excited to welcome them back on a lovely fall day to celebrate alongside class years ending in 1 and 6. The day began with a Mass in the Auditorium within the Dismas Center for the Performing Arts. At its conclusion, all Mercy Girls in attendance – from all generations – joined together to sing our beloved Alma Mater. We were honored to have Katharine Donner Owens ‘60 in attendance whose mother, Anna Hoffman Donner ‘32, wrote the lyrics to the Alma Mater! After Mass, everyone enjoyed food, drinks, raffles, and conversation with old friends and classmates in a large, festively lit tent outside. The day prior to Reunion – on the annual celebration of Mercy Day around the world – the statue of Mercy foundress Catherine McAuley was unveiled. The statue was generously donated by Kathleen Bonsignore Walgreen ‘61 and served as a perfect backdrop for class photos at the Reunion. We’re so grateful that Kathy could join us this weekend to celebrate both her wonderful gift to the school on Mercy Day and at her class reunion!
