Ash Wednesday 2021

February 17, 2021

On this Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, Mercy Theology teacher and Campus Minister Sister Pat Beairsto shares how Mercy will be observing the six-week journey of preparation and reflection. “One of the things I love about the Roman Catholic tradition is the rhythm of the liturgical year. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season when we enter a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Here at Mercy, we’ll start each day with Lenten prayers, have meditations and reflections, and practice almsgiving through our annual Mission Month fundraising events.”
