Brighton Police Partner with Mercy

January 30, 2020

Today, Mercy welcomed Brighton Police Lieutenant Ron Ward and Officer Mark Skidmore to the school. Regular school visits from the Brighton Police Department, a dedicated space for the officers within the school building (so they may complete their end-of-shift paperwork), school-entry FOBs and digital blueprints installed in all police cruisers are just a few of the ways Mercy works to ensure a safe and secure campus environment for our students, faculty and staff, and visitors. Mrs. Whipple, Dean of Student Life, works regularly with the Brighton Police Department and our security consultant to continually enhance safety measures at the school (as reported in our Security update e-mailed to parents/guardians in spring 2019). Mrs. Whipple toured Lieutenant Ward and Officer Skidmore around the school today and spent time reviewing security procedures. Thank you, Brighton Police Department!
