Principal Kilbridge Bids Farewell; Dean Diodato Steps In

June 13, 2022

Martin Kilbridge, Ed.D., who has dutifully served as Principal of Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women since July 2018, today announced his departure from OLM effective June 30, 2022. He will be taking a position at another Catholic school outside the area. We cannot share the school’s name at this time as they have not yet announced his appointment. We are so very grateful for the energy, effort, and love Dr. Kilbridge poured into his position here at Mercy. He will forever be a part of the distinguished leaders who have served at the helm of our wonderful school over the past 94 years. We wish him well in his new endeavor! We are happy to announce that Sherylanne Diodato, Ph.D. ’93, Dean of Mercy’s middle school, has been appointed as Acting Principal of both the high school and middle school effective Friday, July 1, 2022. This appointment was made following consultation with multiple stakeholders within the school and Circle of Mercy. She and Dr. Kilbridge are working together to ensure a smooth transition. Dr. Diodato’s first order of business will be to continue wrapping up the 2021-2022 academic school year while preparing for next September. She will serve in her new role through the next academic year. During this time, Mercy will launch a thorough, nationwide search for a new principal. We anticipate appointing a permanent principal for the 2023-2024 academic school year.
