Ready, Set, Code!

December 6, 2018

This week, December 3-7, Mercy 6th graders participated in the national Computer Science Education Week by learning how to code through Google CS First Hour of Code. After running an advertisement campaign about the Hour of Code, the 6th graders then held two workshops to teach other students what they learned about coding. In addition, Mr. Wood’s AP Computer Science Principles students worked with the 6th graders and shared their interest in technology. Because of their amazing work as leaders in technology, the 6th grade has been awarded a mini-grant from the American Library Association. Congratulations! #MercySTEM #readytocode #csfirst@alalibrary @GoogleForEdu.
