Senior Alice Camaione ’19 Receives Gold Award in Scouting

Congratulations to Mercy senior Alice Camaione ’19 for recently receiving the Girl Scouts of Western New York’s highest award, the prestigious Gold Award for her project: ‘Teacher Intervention in Student Development of Prejudices and Stereotypes.’ Alice has been a Girl Scout for 14 years and has earned her Bronze, Silver, and (now) Gold Awards in scouting. Even MORE big news for Alice: she was recently named a College Scholar with the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. This highly competitive national scholarship will cover up to $40,000 dollars per year for Alice’s college expenses. She will also have opportunities to study abroad and have the services of an educational advisor. Way to go, Alice!
