Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women is extremely proud of our faculty – 96% of whom hold master’s or doctorate degrees. Mercy teachers set high expectations for all students and spend the time necessary to ensure each student’s success. Their lesson plans give students a clear idea of what they will be learning, what the assignments are, and what the grading policy is. Not only are Mercy educators prepared and organized, they engage students and help them to look at issues in a variety of ways. They engage the whole class and keep students motivated with varied, lively approaches.
Prior to receiving an invitation to join the Mercy teaching family, we ensure all educators:
- Demonstrate a passion to teach.
- Are intellectually curious and masters of their disciplines.
- Are dedicated to working with students to help them exceed their expectations.
- Exhibit the special skill set necessary to teach in an all-girl environment.
The faculty at Mercy form strong relationships with their students and demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach to students’ needs. Parents and guardians are encouraged to reach out to Mercy’s educators with any thoughts or questions.
