Volunteers at Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women complement and extend the activities and mission of the entire school. Working together with faculty and staff, volunteers perform specific duties and functions to increase the effectiveness of Mercy’s academic, enrollment, and development initiatives. Volunteer time is considered a valuable resource; we pledge to consistently work to respect every volunteer’s contribution. All volunteers can be assured their efforts make a difference! Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women’s Volunteer Program is designed to meet the needs and interests of both the volunteer and the school. It receives full endorsement from administration, faculty, staff, and the Board of Trustees. Our volunteers are recognized as part of the team, working to meet the goals and mission of the school.
Prior to volunteering at Mercy, applicants must complete Diocese of Rochester Safe Environment Training Course, as well as the Volunteer Form. It is very important that you select the correct group when enrolling so please follow the instructions carefully. Also, the Enrolling in Training document will provide helpful tips on how to enroll in the correct training.
